Good Fences

Some (possibly crazy) people believe in telepathy. Indeed many other (possibly crazy) people report that aliens communicate telepathically almost exclusively. This is theoretically possible either through technical enhancement or perhaps spiritual mastery via the concept that the many are also the One.

Let’s indulge in a little fantasy. What if humans could somehow develop a strong, universal ability to read each other’s thoughts? How would your life change if everyone you know suddenly knew what you really thought of them? How would society change if we were automatically open and honest with each other about every little thing? How important is privacy? Is it more valuable to those who are dishonest? Or perhaps to those who are hiding from others who mean them harm?

Siddhis or Powers can be attained during the run up to Enlightenment or as a spontaneous result afterward. The mastery of these abilities only arises in conjunction with the understanding of why they cannot be used casually.

Upon meeting a complete stranger, we tend to be wary. We don’t know anything about them. Perhaps they are mean. Perhaps they are stupid or just plain weird. But to maintain decorum, we might offer a greeting. If they respond in a friendly manner, we might tell them our name and offer some small talk. If given the time and the inclination, we pass from being strangers to being acquaintances. The more we open up to each other, the more we share our thoughts and our feelings, the more friendly we may become. As the friendship grows, we may develop trust and empathy. If we spend time together and begin to share in each other’s lives, we may develop a deep and abiding love for each other.

Building a relationship takes time because of the relatively small bandwidth of human communication. How long would it take if we knew everything about each other instantaneously? Would we even remain separate beings?

What would it be like if we were all instantly in love with and cared deeply for everyone we met?

Would that be wonderful?

For how long?

The Colour Out Of Race

I’m a racist and I love racism!

Allow me to clarify. I do not believe in discriminating against anyone based on skin color or anything else. However, I occasionally find myself falling for various racial stereotypes and when I do, I endeavor to catch myself and learn from my foolishness. Most people find themselves similarly situated.

Now as for loving racism, I mean that I find the subject to be fascinating and exceedingly educational. A fully human manifestation of the one and only true fear. The fear of the unknown.

As we know, the only way to lose our fear is to learn more about the subject of said fear. This in turn becomes the catalyst for new experiences and adventures.

“Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.” Mathew (22:37-39)

This quote by Jesus from the Christian Bible is interesting isn’t it? On the surface, it seems to make no sense. How can you love yourself or your neighbor if you reserve 100% of your love for God?

Unless…

All Consuming

Is there anything more horrific than life?

It carries the price of a death sentence issued at birth. Everything that moves upon this planet is doomed to be eaten by something else. Our sole purpose is to end up as food.

Now we can intellectualize that this is just the way the system has to work. That “nature, red of tooth and claw” is the world we exist in even if killing seems morally repugnant on some level. But kill we must. Gotta eat.

Like most men, I am a hunter. I generally hunt about the same time each week. Every Tuesday morning I can be found in the meat section of my local grocery store. Hunting in the most convenient and modern manner.

Most of us don’t enjoy killing so we are happy to pay others to do the dirty work. But why? Why do so many people dislike murdering animals? It is because we possess a combination of empathy and imagination that allows us to vicariously experience what it must be like to be on the receiving end of the slaughter. And it doesn’t feel good. To deliver fear, pain and death upon another living creature seems evil somehow.

Many of us truly do not want to do evil things.

So, what’s the deal here? Is the universe inherently vicious and evil? We don’t want that to be the case so we make up other scenarios. Perhaps it was originally a place of love and compassion that somehow fell into it’s current state. Maybe we are being punished for something we did wrong either personally or as a race. Perhaps we are paying the price for offending Someone.

So why do we exist in this slaughterhouse of a world?

It’s actually just because we’re dumb. Or to put it less harshly, we lack the full data-set. We assume that death is a bad thing because we tend to fear the unknown.

Once we pierce the Veil by whatever means, we can see through the illusion. We can see that life and death are an exquisite dance within the One Consciousness.

Therein lies the value of the Philosopher’s Stone. To obtain this understanding that your true self is immortal allows you to transmute the entire world into what has been called the “Kingdom of Heaven”.

To dwell therein is to know that there is nothing to fear. There never was.

But to now have the eyes to see that.

Fade Away Home

Did you ever notice that things age and fall apart? Stars die. Mountains crumble. Metals oxidize. Organics rot, Memories fade…

Why is that? Why don’t they become better and stronger over time? Why do our bodies weaken and die? Why does the quantum field lose coherence over time?

Well, it’s all about boredom.

You can’t have Something without Nothing. They arise and are defined by each other. The background field of reality is Consciousness. What we might call “God”. By that I do not mean a distant spirit-king. I mean You. With all your “stuff” striped away. With all your “somethings” removed.

Words fail here of course and I have tried to explain why elsewhere.

Conscious attention combining Will and Imagination is how all the “somethings” are created and how they are shaped and manipulated. As a thing is being created, it does become better and stronger over time. This is the growth stage of all creations. Consciousness is sharply focused during this phase because it is interested. It is learning and experiencing novelty.

The creation will peak at the point of maximum interest. After that, with more and more processes being relegated to autopilot programming, familiarity breeds at least apathy if not contempt and the creation begins to lose it’s fascination.

What we see as being the material world is held together by God’s Will and Imagination.

You are God. Your life is your creation. You can wipe the slate clean anytime you wish. Lose your will to live and your life (meaning the avatar) will end. It may happen suddenly, as in the case of letting it be killed or it may simply drift away into the dissolution of old age and senescence. Then, with your attention removed entirely, the creat-ure will turn to dust and be gone.

Grandma didn’t lose her mind to dementia. She just got tired of her creation. Tired of missing those who’ve gone before. Tired of the pains and illnesses she’s allowed herself to experience. Her True Self is off working on a new reality. Creating another Something as only the indestructible Conscious No-Thing can do.

The Land Down Under

The Underworld.

That which lies beneath the world.

A place that seems illusory from our vantage point. Inhabited by fairies and monsters. Devils and gods. The dead and gone.

The dark and murky waters from whence come our dreams and to where go our memories. The vasty subconscious mind.

It’s where we go whenever we cease to concentrate upon our Creation. Indeed, we are partly there now. Just because we wake up in the morning does not mean that we are no longer dreaming.

These “realities” we create exist like temporary islands floating in an infinite sea of imaginal potential. For just a little while they float along in the sunshine of our awareness. Then, inevitably they sink back into the chthonic depths.

As “children of God” (meaning God Itself as filtered through each unique persona or avatar), we are constantly creating our reality. Because we are at our core the One True God, our ability to create and change The Creation is precise and masterful. This contributes to the illusion that there is a solid and true reality. You may be tempted to say, “If I could create my own reality it certainly wouldn’t be this!”

Bullshit! Look closer. Know Thyself and all else will follow. If your reality seems to be messed up, it means you have lessons to learn. Learn them. Why do you think you are seeking knowledge?

Notice what happens when we stray out to the edge though. When we dabble with magic; when we hunt for bigfoot or UFO’s; when we pray to angels and saints. The things you will encounter exist in a quasi-real state until you solidify them through your belief and attention to become truly real to you. Suddenly you become an Experiencer. Your reality has shifted in amazing ways. You realize that you have gained Powers. If this happens with a comprehension of Who you are and what you are doing, you will become a mystic master. If it happens randomly with no understanding on your part, you will become a delusional mental patient.

Pay attention to your dreams. Study the symbolism. Be conscious of the world around you. Again, study the symbolic nature of what you see. As above, so below. As below, so above. This is the key to the Underworld. Once you have it, you can open the gates as far as you dare.

Your imagination is God’s Imagination.

Transmutation

“Is it just me, or is it getting crazier out there?”

This quote from the 2019 movie “Joker” is one of those lines that gets a laugh because it hits uncomfortably close to home doesn’t it? When a person descends into madness, they become blind to this fact and instead perceive the world around them as flying off the rails.

Our reality simply is what it is. Everything beyond that consists of imagination and embellishment. This is akin to artistry and can be the source of great satisfaction as well as great confusion. Simply put, we can choose how we view the world as well as the people around us.

We are storytellers telling our own stories. We can do this consciously or unconsciously. It’s far better to consciously create our lives but it can be instructive when we let the “auto-pilot” take over too. It is from the inevitable misunderstandings that we learn to do better the next time. These mistakes will appear in our reality as “wrongness”. Pain; suffering; rejection.

The Hebrew word “sin” is an archery reference that simply means “to miss”. It does not mean, “to offend God”. It does not mean, “to do evil”. It just means, “You missed!” The implication being that you can learn from the experience and perhaps do better next time.

Do you see a world filled with chaos and despair? Change it! You will always find what you seek so look for the goodness. Fill your heart with love and the World will reflect that back to you. As within, so without.

Is it just me, or is it getting more wonderful out there?
