The Land Down Under

The Underworld.

That which lies beneath the world.

A place that seems illusory from our vantage point. Inhabited by fairies and monsters. Devils and gods. The dead and gone.

The dark and murky waters from whence come our dreams and to where go our memories. The vasty subconscious mind.

It’s where we go whenever we cease to concentrate upon our Creation. Indeed, we are partly there now. Just because we wake up in the morning does not mean that we are no longer dreaming.

These “realities” we create exist like temporary islands floating in an infinite sea of imaginal potential. For just a little while they float along in the sunshine of our awareness. Then, inevitably they sink back into the chthonic depths.

As “children of God” (meaning God Itself as filtered through each unique persona or avatar), we are constantly creating our reality. Because we are at our core the One True God, our ability to create and change The Creation is precise and masterful. This contributes to the illusion that there is a solid and true reality. You may be tempted to say, “If I could create my own reality it certainly wouldn’t be this!”

Bullshit! Look closer. Know Thyself and all else will follow. If your reality seems to be messed up, it means you have lessons to learn. Learn them. Why do you think you are seeking knowledge?

Notice what happens when we stray out to the edge though. When we dabble with magic; when we hunt for bigfoot or UFO’s; when we pray to angels and saints. The things you will encounter exist in a quasi-real state until you solidify them through your belief and attention to become truly real to you. Suddenly you become an Experiencer. Your reality has shifted in amazing ways. You realize that you have gained Powers. If this happens with a comprehension of Who you are and what you are doing, you will become a mystic master. If it happens randomly with no understanding on your part, you will become a delusional mental patient.

Pay attention to your dreams. Study the symbolism. Be conscious of the world around you. Again, study the symbolic nature of what you see. As above, so below. As below, so above. This is the key to the Underworld. Once you have it, you can open the gates as far as you dare.

Your imagination is God’s Imagination.

Creation

At the macro-scale, we have a Consciousness that uses it’s own “imagination” to create the universe. Presumably because the existence of consciousness brings about a requirement that there be something to be conscious of.

So what can this mean for those of us on the micro-scale? How do we small bits of God create our own small bits of the universe?

The same way. We build out upon the foundation of our existence. We know We Are. We know It Is. Well, what shall we make of this? What shall we think about it? What shall we imagine the world to be? What will be our story?

We are all story-telling our individual lives but we are surrounded by other small bits of God who are story-telling their own lives and some of them are including us in their stories just as we include some of them in our stories.

So who controls our reality? God does of course. (Hint: It’s you.) Therefore you have no free-will. (Hint: Complete free-will.)

Please remember that the Center is paradoxical in nature.

You life is simultaneously under your control and out of your control. In other words, you can sail your ship to the best of your abilities but the ocean around you belongs to God.

“Consensus reality” or the world we all (more or less) agree upon is generally assumed to be outside of us. When we believe that this reality is different from what the majority of the others believe, we become delusional in their eyes. So to believe that we have any extraordinary control (magic and prayer) makes us crazy in the eyes of academically approved science.

But what if the nature of reality is not an outside world that is separate from us but rather an inside world that is a part of us? A Dream we are free to dream in any way we wish? We just mustn’t be disappointed that others will prefer different dreams that may not coincide with ours. Miracles can not happen in the lives of those who do not believe in miracles.

Belief is the catalyst that allows our imagination to shape the “none-self” part of us. On three different occasions Jesus of Nazareth is recorded to have told people who had just been miraculously healed that, “Your faith has healed you.” In other words, Jesus didn’t heal them.

The relationship between the words “faith” and “belief” can be difficult to grasp. This is especially true when translating into English from the Greek version of the original memory of an Aramaic quote.

See if you can rise above the level of labels and words to experience what these words mean to satisfy yourself that they actually mean the same thing. The will and the confidence that a thing is.

“Your belief has healed you.” is no different than “Your belief has made you rich.” or “Your belief has brought you happiness”.

What and how much you believe in a thing is the key to all power. You can have it blend into consensus reality or depart from it quite radically. It is your belief to have and your belief to change. Tell yourself that you love everyone and everything. Tell yourself that you truly care about the world and can see beauty and truth everywhere you look. Your faith has saved you.

Conversely, start telling yourself what a loser you are and watch yourself become one. Tell yourself you don’t deserve to live enough times and you eventually won’t. Tell yourself that your body is becoming ill. Tell yourself that it’s just getting worse. Tell your self that you are dying. Your faith has destroyed you.

Your world and your reality are exactly as you wish (or fear) them to be. Your control is perfect and masterful. It is your attention and belief that brings it about. It is your imagination that shapes it.

(Believe it or not.)

Imagine Nation

This is a post that I keep on avoiding due to the fact that the subject is so difficult to communicate (or comprehend). I ask the reader to ignore my words and attempt to just see what they are pointing at.

Okay. Off to cloud cuckoo-land…

Everything in this reality is not the real thing. Everything you experience (see; hear; feel) is a symbol for something else. There is a higher, truer “realer” reality above the one we seem to be living in. Most people are somewhat aware of this and give voice to this intuition through art and religion.

Just as <insert your name> is not the real you, so the (apparent) world you see around you is not the true world. Your mind is aware of this beyond-world but cannot perceive it directly. It therefore places a symbolic “thing” in it’s place in an effort to make sense of it. A placeholder of sorts. As an example, we may use a sound as a symbol for something else as in the sound “dog”. We call this a “word”. The sound itself is not the animal referenced. We might also use a drawing or an image of this thing.

Woof!

Like the word, the image is not the actual dog. Now what I am saying is that the sight, sound, and feel of the dog are also not the dog itself. The true dog lies hidden from you and is unknowable. Even if you could pierce the veil and join the dog, you would only experience the combination of yourself and the dog. The you+dog is also not the actual dog.

Think about how dimensions work. The one dimensional line; the two dimensional plane; the three dimensional cube; the four dimensional hyper-cube. We can keep this going mathematically but our minds are incapable of following experientially.

The idea that there exist places (and inhabitants) in dimensions we cannot see is unsettling for people who have enough problems dealing with just the basic three-plus-time. As a result of our being so embedded in what we think is reality, when we encounter something from outside of it, our mind slaps a more believable symbol over it. This is why so many reports of the paranormal include elements of the absurd. We are puzzled by the “high strangeness” elements because they seem so silly and contrived.

This is because they are.

By us.
